WORLD ARCHERY OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018

The first day was the WA90/1440 round and for most of the day rain and wind challenged everyone, eventually we ran out of time and was ended after the third distance. My results for the first two distances were on par with the rest of the field and the third was not good finishing in 6th.
The WA50/720 round on the second day was not good also with windy conditions but no rain. I again didn’t perform well for the ranking round however I came through my matchplay rounds to make the gold medal match on the third day against a fellow Australian in Jay Moylan.
The gold medal match was tied going into the last end but I managed to keep it together to win the gold.

WORLD ARCHERY WORLD CUP BERLIN 2018

For the entire week in Berlin we had wind of varying strengths but sunny and warm.
I was happy with my qualification score in the wind being less than 16 points down on my QRE personal best.
I started off well in the matchplay being 2 up after 2 ends, on the first arrow of the fourth end the wind blew me off target as the shot broke which ended my individual progress in Berlin.
In the teams matchplay our competitors were Italy, we were defeated by 7 and Italy went on to win the bronze medal.
